How Do I Meet People?

Lonoke Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Lonoke.

Sunday School

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Lonoke Baptist Church has Sunday School held every Sunday morning at 9:00. The classes are divided into age groups while others are based on topic or gender. Each class is geared toward helping everyone in the class connect on a deeper level with God and with each other!

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. Children’s Church (age 3-1st Grade) meets in the first classroom when you walk in the Worship Center. Junior Church (2nd Grade-5th Grade) meets during Morning Worship upstairs in the Worship Center.
Wednesday nights are a key night for Youth Ministry at Lonoke. Pastor Tim works with 3 years to 5th grade in the Kid’s Department. Along with a time of worship and a lesson, they are broken into small groups. This is a great time for your child to be loved but also if you have a desire to work in this capacity, we welcome you to come and give it a shot!
Pastor Brooks works with the Middle School Ministry (6th-8th Grade) and Pastor Kyle works with the Senior High Ministry (9th-12th Grade) on Wednesday nights. Along with a time of worship and a lesson, they are broken into small groups. This is also a great time for your older child to learn God’s Word and how it applies to their current and future state of life. If you have a desire to work in this area, we welcome you to come and lead out.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. There are a few classes to be involved in including Pastor Craig’s class and also the Pairs/Spares Class of Lonoke Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Ministry

Lonoke Baptist Church’s Ladies Fellowship gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups,  1st Sunday afternoon of the month in the Worship Center, are times of Bible study, prayer & fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Fellowship

The men of Lonoke spend the 1st Saturday morning of every month at 7:00 having breakfast in the kitchen at church. This is a special time of fellowship, encouragement & accountability. It is important for men to be around other men so we may sharpen each other, as the book of Proverbs says.

Senior Saints

Once you get to that special age, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Senior Saints of Lonoke Baptist Church provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. Lonoke is a place for people of all ages to come and find their place!

Golden Girls

This is a fun group to be a part of at Lonoke. If you are a woman over 65 years of age, we want to encourage you to be a part of this special group. These ladies have fellowships, take trips, and many more actives but most important, they are there for each other in this season of life. If you have any questions, find Sis. Betty Stracner and she can direct you in the right direction.
